Facebook by blocking the action of the Government of Pakistan encourages IT professionals to develop social networks in the country.
Once, there was a fan page 'Everybody Draw Mohammed Day!, Government of Pakistan directly blocking Facebook, because it is considered insulting Muslims.
Six IT experts origin Lahore, Pakistan develop Islamic-based Facebook is located at www.millatfacebook.com. Thus was launched StraitsTimes, Friday (28/05/2010).
It is expected that social networking can hook the approximately 1.6 billion Muslims Internet users. The founders Millatfacebook said the site would rival networking site founded Mark Zuckerberg.
"Millatfacebook is Pakistan's first social networking site. The site is not intended for the Muslims and we are also open to other faiths," wrote the site.
Islamic-based networking features that are not much different from Facebook. Each user can write a message on his wall. This site also lets users send photos, email, video, and chat.
Since three days of its launch, this site has to pick up approximately 4300 members. Most of the members aged 20 years and have good English skills.
Since the action of blocking Facebook, the carrying amount of members on these sites continues to decline. Approximately 2.5 million members of Facebook in Pakistan reportedly had to remove their membership account. Tags Info
